APO DISCOUNTER – SUPER HERO x RUTH MOSCHNER

An all-media campaign by Apo-Discounter featuring Ruth Moschner as the testimonial - a high output for all channels!

THE TASK

The initial briefing for this project set an exciting tone, presenting us with the opportunity to create a dynamic superhero story infused with humor, featuring the charismatic Ruth Moschner as a testimonial. The concept was not only engaging but also allowed for a playful and imaginative approach that would resonate with a wide audience.

We worked collaboratively with the creative team to develop a script that balanced humor and action, ensuring that every moment counted. This involved crafting snappy dialogue and visual gags that would highlight Ruth's comedic timing while also advancing the storyline.

THE PROCESS

To effectively capture the essence of the superhero genre, we went all out, ensuring every detail was meticulously crafted to enhance the film's authenticity and appeal. This involved creating an elaborately designed, hand-sewn superhero costume that not only looked visually stunning but also allowed Ruth Moschner to embody her character fully. 

Understanding the physical demands of the superhero narrative, we also hired a skilled stunt double to execute the window jump—a key moment that added excitement and realism to the film. This required close collaboration between the stunt team and the director, ensuring that safety protocols were followed while still capturing the high-energy feel of the scene. Rehearsals were conducted to synchronize the timing and choreography, allowing us to achieve a seamless transition between Ruth and her stunt double, maintaining continuity in the final product.

The direction of the film was helmed by Kai Schonrath, known for his expertise in navigating the complexities of comedy. Directing a comedy is often considered one of the most challenging genres due to the need for precise timing, character nuances, and the balance between humor and action. Kai brought his unique vision and experience to the project, skillfully guiding the cast through comedic beats while ensuring that the superhero elements were integrated smoothly.

THE RESULTS

The project yielded a comprehensive suite of content that went beyond the main film for TV and social media, allowing us to maximize the brand's reach and engagement across multiple platforms. In addition to the main film, we shot three dynamic social media films, each tailored to specific audiences and designed to highlight different aspects of the superhero narrative.

To further enhance the campaign, we conducted a separate photo shoot that generated a wealth of high-quality photo assets. These images showcased the superhero costume, behind-the-scenes moments, and candid shots of the cast, providing versatile content for marketing materials, social media posts, and promotional campaigns. The imagery captured the playful spirit of the project, allowing the brand to connect visually with its audience.

To complement the visual and audio elements, we also incorporated a 3D range packshot into the project. This visually striking element showcased the product in a modern and innovative way, appealing to consumers and emphasizing the brand’s commitment to quality and creativity. The 3D packshot added a contemporary touch that aligned perfectly with the superhero theme, making it stand out in marketing materials.
